cabinet project

Hi all, I’m planning on building a two player cabinet for my nephews.

Any suggestion for the wood? I’m looking for something light that can be moved around and placed on a table, but sturdy enough too.

I’ve already built a retropie joystick, but first time working with incorporated video. Any thing I should consider carefully? Is a normal monitor good enogh?

I used 3/4” birch plywood for a 2 player cabaret sized cabinet. Not sure about light, but lighter than MDF. Just avoid MDF in my opinion.
