Vewlix L locks where to buy them??

Hello guys,
I am missing 3 locks on my vewlix L and I would like to know where I can purchase them from.. Do not need to be original, cheap locks will do.. I know there was a tread of a member buying locks but I can not find it..

A 5/8th inch tubular lock won't sit 100% flush with the original Vewlix tongs.

I have a box of the first set (5/8th) of tubulars I got for my cab, displeased by the poor fit I replaced them with official locks direct from Taito.
I actually ordered 15 locks and 6 keys (three complete sets) one for myself, and two for Derick.

Stuff like the PCB door can sit a little loose without any problems, but the coin door... If it's not flush it will reject your coins!

Hotdammm that is Taito expensive.. thanks for the heads up...let me know if you or Derick will be ordering anything from Taito in the near future.. maybe i can piggy back and get those 3 locks and a key...

i had no fitting issues with my L using the original tongs or using the tongs that came with the locks.
Only one that would be trouble is if you dont have the tong for the cp.

they're the same parts.

a user on the SHMUPS forum is selling locks from Taito, Kiselgof is his name. Look him up.

ps, bought enough to re-lock and key my egret 2, they're the same lock/key combo that my vewlix F has. So, confirmed working.

Great thank you! Just PMed him.. What is the difference between the single lock and the double lock? Also did the locks bring the tubular? Or is that something that I need to buy separately?

double locks allow removal of the key. They're good for CPs

The "L" shape is the coin bucket door lock, the "U" shape is the control panel.
Coin door, PCB door and rear hatch are all the same flat oval piece.

@Jassin - the "flat oval piece" hook things from the pictures, are they spares? can I buy them from you? I received the 3 locks and keys from my fellow SHMUPS member but the "flat oval piece" metal part was not included. So i am missing 3 "flat oval" piecemetal hooks.. Is the another place to get them if you can not sell them? thanks..

Hate reviving an old thread, but for anyone else who has a Vewlix and needs locks, I can confirm that these suggested by Dakken were a perfect fit on my Vewlix C. Only thing is - the arcade machine will need to include a separate, diagonal lock tongue for the control panel, the panel needs both lock tongues to lock correctly.

The Vewlix lock tong will need to sit on top of the flat tong that comes with the lock - took a bit of jiggling to get it in there, but it did work!

LY-1153 KEY E5000631A = this is the main key to open the back, 2 front doors, control panel.

LY-1153 LOCK = E5000630A = you will need (4) for a vewlix cab - back, 2 for front and control panel.

KIND LOCK F830 (LARGE RING) KEYx2 = E5000678A = you only need 1 as this is for the coin door and it brings the lock and 2 Dimple Key.
