Bars in my image--SOLVED (post 17)

It looks to me like the fix isnt apply properly. Can you do a contact check to be 100% sure that each pin goes where it should and no pin shorcut each other?

If everything is OK, then I'd try upgrading the firmware again and formatting the microSD, just in case.

Please let us know how it goes.

Just hooked up my logic probe and think it’s the SMD, well the application of it. I can pick up a pulse on the pin in, but it’s stuck “high” on the other side.
 
Yeah. I think it needs to be reapplied. Careful not to use to much heat and line it up really well before setting it back down. Retrying too many times can cause pads to lift up.

I am having the very same issue with the graphics, except I do have a broken pin, please see attached pic. Notice one of the pins in the middle of the pic is broken. Suggestions?

Some additional info: By graphics issues I mean mostly bars similar to recent posts. I just recently installed the kit. I did have a sound issue that I resolved by fixing the jumpers. At least two looked open but were actually shorted so I made cuts and saw a big improvement there. Then I reformatted the SD card (4gb Samsung) but no change in graphics. I have a rev 4 board with the g pal I got when purchasing the multi.
I installed the auto reset feature which works great as well. I am using the old rom set, I have not yet installed update for key writing.
 
similar errors from a different source. Can you install a jumper wire tonic that fixes it?
 
I just fixed the broken pin by installing a new one I recently received from Mitsu. This was easy enough to do.However, I am having bars/blocks in the image which seem to be worse than before I fixed the pin. Board seems well seated and will not go any farther. I have attached some pics from different games.

Suggestions?

Thanks. I sent a PM to Mitsu. I am dying to play this thing. Frustrating - I actually bought the multi a year ago from Paradise Arcade and it has been in the box the whole time. At least I have the F3 and STV to keep me satisfied for now.
