What's new
I don't think any game on the TTX2 takes advantage of anything more then 1GB, but it can't hurt ;)

Better let @Niko or @corey confirm how the TTX2 handles extra RAM.

Best upgrade you can do IMO is replacing the fans and installing the multi on a SSD

Thanx for your help~

It depends on what you are using the system for, some games do have higher spec profiles where they will add extra effects depending on cpu speed and ram, on of home-brew software ala nikos multi and my applications
So if you are looking To run extra stuff that makes the Cpu
X6800 that is confirmmed working to be hands down the best cpu you can put in the x2

Due to the IPC gain over a p4 It may be lower clocked, but the IPC Is 30 to 40% better, so having that thing is similar to a 4.1ghz p4, and you get an extra core, for additional software while it is not needed, it would provide the smoothest multi experience. and even adding additional emulators to the system

Looking at the pile of old servers at work I'm scrapping over Xmas - will any 775 Xeon processors E3xxx or X3xxx work in a TTX2?

thats why my advice for those that want an x3 multi, is and will always be just replace the motherboard, with one that isnt bios locked, and away you go.
Which would be a perfect fit for x3: Asus P8Q67 or Intel DQ67OW?

I've been thinking for some time about installing 2 SSD hard disks in my TTX2.
I wanted to use one SSD on Nicos Image And on the other SSD have the image of Jörg on it.

So I bought a hard disk switch.Simply insert it into a free slot of my TTX2, connect both hard disks and you're done.
Of course I can't run both at once.
So if I want to play Nicos SSD just switch on switch 1.With Jörg his image switch 1 off and switch 2 on.That's all.Works very well.On this occasion I also exchanged all fans for quiet ones.

Now everything is perfect.

Simple but ingenious.

Hey, mildly curious, what does Jörgenesis do that Nikotendon't?

(What's the difference between the two drives? Thanks. :D)

The difference is that I have Jörg's image mame support and a few steam shooters on it.

And some games like otomedius and so on.

I don't know if they would work with Nico's image.
But I have both SSD hard disks and don't have to try them for long.

Cool beans, I only knew about Nikos multi up to this point. Thanks.

Is there still the one from Jörg (Arcademodbios)
But he wants money for his image. At the moment it costs 200€.
I find that exaggerated.
I bought my TTX2 with the image at that time.
Copying does not work either. It is protected.

So jorg on SSD would come straight from him and u can not image the spinny disk version to a ssd?

I tried cloning the SSD to have a backup.Unfortunately it doesn't work.Tried it with 3 programs

The Joerg drive is locked to the drive ID. It is very difficult to move it to SSD. Only a few people know how to change the drive ID on specific brands and models of SSDs but the info is not available online. Trust me. I've looked everywhere for it.

Niko's multi does not have protection and is honestly the much better multi.

Yes, Nicos Multi is better.

I just have some problems getting games to run.
And since I have the other image still on SSD hard disk I solve the problem just like this.

Too bad that you can't make any settings in the menu.
For example, the vertical and horizontal for some games to adjust.
But maybe that will come.

But Nico's work is already great.

Hey guys two questions:

Monitor: 720p/1080p/1440p HD LCD Monitor (Is there a way to switch the output resolution?)

What is the smallest SSD needed for all of the x2 games?

Ummm depends on what your running .. I am using a 500GB SSD but I think the normal multi will fit on a 100GB SSD. I think you meant to ask whats the smallest one you can get away with ?
