So this week I finally got a New Net City with a Toshiba Pure Flat screen, and damn that screen is sexy!
I bought the cab from Ronnie (www.rklok.nl) and I bought it as is, nothing done by him for the sale, straight out of a container from Japan (this also reflected in the price compared to the NNC's he usually moves ;))

Replaced the crappy/sticky/non-responsive buttons yesterday with some stuff I had lying around which directly improved it a lot ;)

Will start disassembling/cleaning this weekend and check what I need for it, everything is complete at least, but it has some small defects;
- Left speaker busted
- Left channel of sound amp possibly dead
- Marquee lighting flickers sometimes
- Install a kick-harness and clean up the wiring
- 2L12B NNC panel
- re-paint or retrobright the bezel, still deciding what to do with it

If I decide to go the re-paint route for the bezel, has anyone experience on which color is the closest match?
I've read about RAL 9010 for NAC's and some posts mention RAL 9016 ?(

i'd take a small panel that the colour is ment to match and get the shop to match it. eg the control panel top or one of the doors

Yeah, will do that anyway, but might be good to know what colour it is/should be.
A colleague of mine will bring me one of those tomorrow so I can compare that as well.

bleaching will not help anymore in this state, repaint is the way to go.

Got some parts in today; a Sega Saturn Virtua Stick project someone started but did not finish...

Many parts I will use for the NNC:
- NOS Sega 2L12B panel
- NOS NNC decal applied
- New JLF sticks
- New Sanwa buttons (one start button discolored from lying in the sun)
- NOS instruction strip
- NOS NNC bezel decal

The shell from the Saturn stick could be used for a project in the future, like maybe a stick for PS4 ;)

Some more pics during the cleaning, no further explanation, they speak for themselves :D

Status today:
- All parts disassembled and cleaned (up to every last bolt ;) )
- Monitor and chassis still need to be cleaned
- Reinstall wiring harness and assemble the rest of the cab
- Spray paint the front bezel (this might be done in a few weeks)

Nice restoration.

I went through 2 bottles of HG Degreaser when I cleaned my Super Neo29

Yeah, you need some good cleaner.
I also went through 2 bottles of Dasty, best stuff ever!

I use it a lot with motorcycles as well to clean the wheels from chain grease ;)

Thanks!

Status so far:
- tube + chassis installed
- speakers replaced

Everything power up and worked on the first attempt :D

Stuff left to do:
- replace sound amp (busted left channel), but already on it's way
- install kickharness and 2P harness, parts also ordered
- spray paint bezel

Looking awesome so far PascalP, I am really curious about how you will do the paint job...my NCC has the same yellowing that I would like to fix <X
