What's new
I snapped a quick pic and took some rough measurements:

The biggest challenge I think is that the filterboard is designed to fit below the main board the distances between the boards is about 6.5mm and the screw holes are about 4mm in diameter.

I see some Primal Rage boards with and without the filterboard.
Is there a reason for it?
Can the board operate without it and using a JNX Rage adapter?

I think it was just to meet US regulations IIRC. You can use it without. Some people used to modify the filter board into a JAMMA adapter, and you could put the JNX Rage in it's place I'm sure.

Reviewing pictures I don't see any reasons to have it.
I'm in the stage of acquiring all the parts I need for a Primal Rage.
This thread was super helpful.

In Summary: Needs to get Primal Rage Working
-PCB
-Sound board jumper cable
-Sound board power cable
-JNX Rage adapter or re-wired JAMMA adapter w/ kicks

Does Primal Rage require a Negatron -5V like Midway/MK boards?
