Stumbled upon this video, thought I'd leave it here for ya'll :)

Also if you need to get your hands on convergence strips you can make your own.

Man oh man, thank you for this. This is exactly what I've been looking for.

I've been fooling with mine off and on since I received it. It's moderately improved, but I am still having a tough time with the top right and bottom left. I recently picked up some convergence strips from eBay (ran out of bad Sony TVs to steal them from) and suppose I will have at it again this weekend.

Meh, can't seem to find convergence strips anywhere, anybody know of an adress that still makes/sells these?

Alternatively you could rip them from old television tubes.

@K405 - thanks for the video.. Could you please post where I can get the strips? I need to use this on a blast.. Thanks

I would if I knew, unfortunately I don't.

Ok thanks.. I thought that the person in the video was you which mentioned purchasing from the U.S...

This guy may still have some - https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=368482

I believe I bought mine from ArcadeCup if I recall correctly - https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=353664
They appear to be out of stock currently though, see http://www.arcadecup.com/ -> Boards/Kits/Misc.
Doesn't hurt to reach out to the seller and see if they can make some more.

You can make your own convergence strips using refrigerator magnets. You can buy blank refrigerator magnets in a big pack at Staples or a craft store.

I think the ones that CRT makers used were permalloy / mu-metal strips. From Wikipedia's mu-metal article:

"The high permeability of mu-metal provides a low reluctance path for magnetic flux, leading to its use in magnetic shields against static or slowly varying magnetic fields. Magnetic shielding made with high-permeability alloys like mu-metal works not by blocking magnetic fields but by providing a path for the magnetic field lines around the shielded area."

Arcade-museum has an old post about making your own strips:

I think I still have some off cuts diy strips, if you still need them. If I recap they are only 4.5-5" long. I'll confirm when I get home.

I need a few, but let k405 have his pick first. I'll take what left over If that's possible.

Go right ahead, sorry for the late reply, I don't need any, I went to my local recycling depot and got lucky, they had some stripped monitors on the floor of the shipping container, where they keep all electrical stuff, and ripped a few strips from those tubes.
