I have one.

I'm just wondering where I can find more information on compatibility?

Like I got it so I can copy SFZ3 World Tour Characters over from the dreamcast to the Naomi.

But I'm also wondering if i could use it for games like Talking of the Dead.

Or if i still need to have a special I/O board for controller specific games.

Thanks!

Do you mean Mitsu's Dreamcast controller port->Maple bus adapter? If so, yeah, you can plug in a Dreamcast keyboard and play TOTD on that.

There was a wiki page that listed games that could work with Dreamcast controllers but I'm not sure where it lives... it's not a very big list though. Like, Spawn is one of the games that lets you use a Dreamcast controller to play for example, if I'm remembering correctly.

You still need an IO connected even if you are using the DC adapter or it will give IO errors.

It will not replace the IO.

  • Can any IO work or does it have to be a certain one? I have a Capcom IO.

As far as I remember the capcom IO works with all Naomi games.

Ahh I tried it this morning.

I have the capcom IO.

I didn't read the error too closely so it wasn't an IO error.

getting this game not accepted by main board. Running on naomi 2 with a Jap bios. I havent checked the bios version yet.

How are you loading the game?

netbooting from a pc

using the transfergame.exe

I was wondering if maybe cause its an old dump. but my jap bios is an older one too i think. I got one more shift of work to get through before i was going to focus on it.

I downloaded the multi region bios. But i won't be able to get it on an eprom for a bit.
