Hi All,

Best place to buy a super gun? Need something for a test bench and time doesn't allow for a build right now. In the US if it matrers?

I had a broken spare panel of a blast city cab and started a restauration for a supergun.

I am pretty happy with the result and now able to play vertical setups and shmups :)
To be honest.... it's a weight monster.... but if you found a spot right comfortable for play
Hello, Loki im about to do the same thing, i go a Blast City Cp and im going to do a Supergun. Can i ask what PCB and PSU did u have?

Sure.

Supergun:
I guess you can use any gun. It does not really matter.
I used a very common one from a shop in Germany: http://arcadeforge.net/Supergun-MAK-Strike/Supergun-MAK-Strike-Stripped::90.html

PCU:
Ordered a common one with +5V /12V supply up to 2A
http://arcadeforge.net/Supergun-MAK-Strike/Netzteil-fuer-Arcade-und-PiJamma-5V-und-12V::107.html
My does work with all different pcbs and board so far (igs PGM, PGM2, Atomiswave, MVS, Asterix PCB, ...) without any issue.
There is no voltage regulator included - Voltage between 5.1 - 5.23V. Only focus I had was on 4-pin MOLEX connector that fits with the used supergun.

looking forward to see your project :)
Let me know if you need further details.

Thanks Loki, thats all i need for now.

I will let you know about my progress!!!

Thanks again!

One Year ago I had the Idea of building a Supergun just for JVS Systems. Since there were always too many components lying around, I/O, extra PSU etc...

So I decided to put everything in a box and have a safer option to bring to events and use in my Gaming Location.
I always had concerns about bringing JVS setups to events since power sources we're always kinda open with risk of shock or shorting .

The box contains:
ATX PSU
ATX breakout board
Sega I/O
2x Undamned USB Decoders
1x Jamma Edge
2x USB Extensions
1x 4 Pin power outlet
1x Voltmeter
1x Neutrik USB plunge
1x Test switch
The Supergun is only for 31khz use, I didn't want to add Scart output.
Link to the whole gallery

For the Case I just used some plywood I had and thin acryl boards.
The Backside I will redo because it is not done well. Maybe I'll add a Scartout then.

I would not put that kind of power supply in a closed place like that since it's designed for convection cooling so it needs good airflow.

For voltmeter I use the Sparkfun PRT-14313 and it works fine. Seeed Studio 114990164 is the one used by Minigun and, if I'm not wrong, HAS. Take into account that these voltmeters will probably need calibration.
