What's new
I like the Suzo-Happ 130watt Power Pro.
Its real cheap, about 30$ around the net.

Not sure why its not recommended, I've got no issues with it.

Yea cheap caps I get that... but when you say the price for a Mean Well is almost the same...
Uh, I'm seeing around 100$ for the Mean Well, but 30$ for the Suzo Happ.

I think I will upgrade eventually, cuz yes of course I like the higher quality EVERYTHING.
But comparable in price they are not, Mean Well is on avg 3x the price from my browsing.

@opt2not is that site legit? I'm about to get one right now if it is. that's a really good deal thanks

Is this considered a good one? I got this for like 20 bucks or so
That's the one I've been using for the last 3 years, and haven't had any issues or power drifting.
But I haven't opened it up to check what caps are in it.

Yup, ordered plenty of times from Twisted. I believe the owner is a member of KLOV and has been around for a looooong time.

32 to 42$ options for me, with conversion, that amounts to roughly 73CAD, not a bad price for what it is, the RT-125A is available on Digikey for less (51.58CAD) if I buy above 100$ and get free shipping.

Just checked my spare power supply All Cheng caps. Why’d you do this to me smoke. Now I’m gonna have to take apart my super gun and check the PS in there too. Probably gonna be the same. But I got a HAS coming soon I hope so I need a new one anyway.

Sorry! I wish I had looked into them a year ago before I recommended them to everyone. They're still totally fine though of course in practice, and they do use 105C caps at least. But if you can get Mean Well for about the same price, or a bit more, we might as well get them in the future.

I might be jumping the gun, but what do I need for PSUs when using the HAS in tandem with a Naomi 1 GDRom setup? I read you needed the Sega PSU for that.

Right now I just have Naomi 1 mobo and Capcom IO. So when I get my HAS I’ll be ready for Marvel 2. But I’ll have to wait for CvS2 until I get the rest of the hardware.

What do you guys recommend?

I’m really planning on just using the HAS for:
Naomi cart / GD-Rom
AW
CPS2

In the future I’ll hope to add MVS, CPS3 and maybe ST-V to my collection.

Edit: I saw the post above, I’ll repost this to the better thread for it.

...
Naomi is not regular JAMMA it is JVS (JAMMA Video Standard sometimes called JAMMA 2). The HAS will not help you with JVS boards.

I run my Naomi via a Capcom IO via a supergun via a traditional arcade PSU. However with the GDROM in the mix you may need to look at an additional source of power, perhaps an ATX PSU.
