What's new
@Niko thanks for sharing the img of tgm3.

Recently i just upgraded the crt tube and chassis to weiya c2929d1-6. This is vga chassis and can display 1024x768 ( does not support anything lower than 800x600)

@Niko i might a bit much to ask, but can you please modify the game so that it can output 1024x768 out from either vga or dvi port on ttx2?

You can see the specs of the chassis below

Thanks

Does TGM3 require a JVS input for the TTX2? It’s booting to a flickering black screen after the splash screen. The IO blinks, but I’m not seeing any progress after the black screen. On first attempt, it showed two flickering windows, TGM3 and a Taito one, but subsequent boot ups show nothing.

It requires a JVS IO to work properly, the Capcom IO works with it.

Here is a working TGM3 image for the original TAITOTypeX. (link will be available for a week)

https://mega.nz/#!UpxFADSR!nppLljyybAqT1td1tv4KpmaBR9m0nvJCGKtfonJoRh4

It has the screen saver issue fixed, saving works and has all settings reset to default.

You will need a 40 GiB drive.

I was broke my TTX's TGM3 HDD.
The platter and head come into contact, producing a rhythmic sound like the end of the world now.

I have a big favor to ask of you.
Do you mind re upload the original HDD image?

Sorry to hear that, are you after the original image or the decrypted image (runs without dongle) ?

Thank you reply.
I have the original dongle, so want an original image.

Here are links to the original image. Please note that on some games TAITO used extra protection to lock a game to the drive. This means you cannot clone the disk. Please let us know if this disk image works for you.

Thank you so very much for your help.
I was so happy, that my muscles were spastic. very painful now.
I was depressed because the first board I bought was sold to me with a damaged HDD.

Luckily I found the same type of HDD (WD400BB).
I will test some types of storage (same type, other SATA, IDE-SSD).

I try to fix board and other.

Then I got to the point where I could see the screen.

But displayed "CODE 900".
I will continue to try...!

900 is that it can't read the security dongle. There's a SIM card inside the USB reader. Take it out and clean the edge connector on the card. I fixed a faulty Gigawing Generations one time by doing that.

Thank you.
I open the dongle and clean the contact, but not good.
The IC card is discolored and crooked.
It appears that heat was generated.

The LED is the first Red, after pink(White and red Lit), and blink only the red LED.
This motion is true?

If true, there may be critical damage to this dongle (chip or otherwise) or this dongle may be dedicated with different software.
The case's label is TGM...

And fundamentally, are the software and dongle closely tied together?
I am trying to use the dongle I had from the beginning for the raw drive image rtw gave me.

CODE 900 is an error with the dongle or the hard-disk.

TAITO employ a signing of the disk on some games to prevent it being cloned. This means that they read the ATA ID block and create a signature based on the contents. If you clone the disk the hash will fail and the game will not start up. Let me upload the decrypted image so you can try that @norei

Thank you for your help very much.
I try this, and complete boot, thank you!!!

But I continue to try raw data backup and run.

Thank you for this. I've been playing for about a week and it's been flawless.

Not sure if this has been done, but here's my solution to run this and the multi without disassembly or swapping drives. I found that TTX2 will boot to any SATA port with a powered drive, so all that needs to be done is switch power between the two.

Order the following:

Dual 2.5" to 3.5" bay adapter - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FSVL95Q
SATA power switcher - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S98LRW2
SATA power extension - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008ZB50SS

Here are the drives in the adapter mounted to the TTX2 plate, the ports should be on the same side as the tab:

Testing before putting it together, multi is on SATA1 and TGM3 is on SATA2. The order of the EI connectors on the switcher PCB corresponds exactly to the button order, disregard what's on the silkscreen:

Installed the switcher and tied together and labelled the SATA1 and SATA2 power/data cables. This is so there's no confusion if drives need to be swapped later, only the HDD plate can be removed. I actually forgot to order the SATA power extension cable, and the cable from the PSU is too short, so imagine the power extension cable is plugged in to the switcher PCB here:

It closes with no problem:

I moved the JVS I/O over so the buttons are closest to the edge. The top two buttons select the drive. Of course, this should only be done with the power off, and the previous drive should be de-selected before choosing the next one:

Hello people
Tgm 3 starting with my Capcom IO

But when i put the jamma connector from my board master supergun, it says Io error

There is no electricity on my supergun, i only want to use buttons.

As i said, the game opening with Capcom İO without jamma connector. But io error with jamma connector
Any idea ?

Note: my setup is working great with tx2 Niko's multi
Capcom io + board master supergun

Did anyone succeed in playing this image with a Type X3 ?

I'm getting a weird issue where i can see Windows desktop with a black TGM3 window flashing on and off quickly, and it stays like that forever.
