Darksoft,

Thanks for providing the downloads - awesome list!
Question regarding games such as Sega Bass Fishing Challenge - will these games support analog controls such as a trackball that is required to play the Bass Fishing Challenge game? If not, any idea of a timeframe in which such controls will work when playing these games on a Naomi machine?
Thanks again for your work on this project.

First I need to finish CPS2, then I'll have a look at it. My goal is to make ALL Games work.

Great. Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to your work on it; would love to have ALL Atomiswave games working on the Naomi. Keep up the good work.

Love the artwork, small question though - the back of the DVD case says "requires cf card interface" - can this also be used with net booting? I assume so, but just curious. My Naomi is on its way to my house and I'm definitely looking forward to a few Atomiswave games too

Yes netbooting works as well.

Sweet! I'd love to see Neo-Geo Battle Coliseum working.

Are these any different than the ones listed on the italian site?

They are all the same, unless it has a different ending like _v3 or v4,etc.

I noticed it states in the cover art that it requires a CF adapter; is there any reason these roms would not work with a Rasberry Pi loader via Net Dimm? Basically, looking to add these titles to my Net booting setup but wondering if there is any reason they wouldn't load on this versus the CF card adapter.
Thanks.

I know that Metal Slug 6 works perfectly using net booting.

Ok. I tried a few roms and they load fine, however, when you look to load any other roms it won't change games or load the other rom. I checked with Capaneus and his PiLoader software and he stated the following: "As far as I know, this is a limitation of the atomiswave conversions. Once you boot one, the Naomi system can't boot another one without a hard reset." Is anyone else finding this to be the case? I also thought that perhaps I am using the wrong set of roms - do you need to use the specific Atomiswave roms listed by Darksoft on the forums here? Not sure if a "regular" Atomiswave rom is different than a Atomiswave2Naomi rom. I will try the roms from Darksoft tonight to see if it makes a difference. Any thoughts? It is a pain to load the Atomiswave game and then not be able to change games without a hard reset - somewhat defeats the purpose of the net booting. Thanks for any help.

I thought you always had to do a hard reset to switch games??? Regardless if it was an atomiswave conversion or an actual naomi game.

The Naomi 1 and 2 roms load just fine and no hard reset is needed with the net booting; however, the Atomiswave do. Again, I need to make sure and use the roms created by Darksoft to see if they have the same problem. Perhaps Darksoft can weigh in on this and clarify if this is a know issue with the Atomiswave2Naomi roms and net booting on a Naomi system.

That kind of comments are very dissapointing. Thanks to the conversions I made you are now able to play FOR FREE games that were only available as a cartridge. Hundreds of hours of debugging / testing were spent, yet you find it a pain....well what can I say ...

Sorry it came off wrong; I didn't intend to demean the hard work and the great efforts of the Atomiswave2Naomi conversions. They are great and I have enjoyed them via CF cards for some time. I was simply hoping there was something I was missing or otherwise as to why they weren't working with the net dimm setup I just started using. I truly appreciate the ability to play Atomiswave games on the Naomi - it IS really awesome. It just might be confusing for some using the cabinet to have some games that won't load to another game as you can't really tell which games are Atomiswave or Naomi when they are all listed together for those that don't know the difference. Just some education and process - no worries here or complaints were intended. We always hope for "more", but not to say we don't appreciate the current at all. Just so I know of the issue; I can work with it. As usual with working with Naomi; it is typically user error on my part as to why some things don't work as intended. PLEASE - Darksoft keep up the great work with the Atomiswave2Naomi conversions. My apologies.

These were not converted with piloaders in mind. They were tested on CF and to a lesser extent netboot but never tested by any of us on a piloader since neither of us use one.

I know this Pi Loader issue occurs on some Naomi games as well as the Atomiswave Games, it does it on Border Down I found when playing about with netbooting.

It doesnt cause any issue for me as I just use a Pi setup to boot a single game and I prefer to leave it with one game and then edit a file on my sd card to change it to another game when I've had enough, much like owning the original games and swapping around every so often. Plus its a lot cheaper than the pi loader solution as there is no screen/control, etc. I've also got mine configured so I don't need a zero key security pic plugged in to boot the games.

I'm guessing the issue is down to the fact that net booting wasn't originally designed to rapidly change games, and some of these games were never originally designed to be net booted either.

I've not looked at how the multi game Pi Loader version works but I'm guessing it sends a command to the net Dimm to restart the Naomi so that another game can be loaded, so this could possibly be an issue with the firmware revision on the net dimm itself. Mine is currently 3.17 and I had issues with it not resetting when I was testing it out.
