while trying to solder on a new wire to the reset pad the copper pad basically disappeared/melted off which idk how it happened. i really dont wanna resort to buying another st-v multi.. any info helps
 
I had the same problem. If you are good with micro soldering you could connect it to the FPGA. Not sure which pin as mine is currently packed up I'll try and dig it out to see which one it is.
 
You can either try the via by the missing pad or connect directly to the pin on the ARM processor or to the via in the O of SWDIO

I finally managed to clean the pad off a little while ago , lots of cleaning and scraping and having some kinda faith.. soldered a fresh blue Dupont wire and I'm back in business
 
and I threw some hot glue on it so there wont be any wire tension on the cart AT ALL.. successful fix was successful
