Aero City pity restore

Put the h kick on the 6th button.. that is what I always do.. feels natural since SF games H Kick is the 6th button:)

He means the panel with the D button up over the C. That is the compact layout that SNK used on some of their smaller Candy's and on this panel apparently. It works ok for older titles, but not so great for most of the fighters. I'd still rather have the 4 in a row curve.
 
I'm pretty sure just the SC models have that layout. The Neo models have the usual one, and the Candy 18 only has 3 buttons, but they're in a crazy triangle shape.

Looks like SNK did a bit of trial and error before figuring out the layout we're all accustomed to.
 
This may be a necro bump, but two questions

How did this project finally end up?

Anyone have the panel art ?
 
A friend ended up with it and finished the restore.

I ended up just buying a panel from a member on KLOV so I'm not entirely sure if the artwork is available anywhere.
