CPS2 Fan Replacement

Any number of reasons, fan shape, proximity to the vents.
I don't make stuff up and don't like having to replace parts.
Silent 6 is way quieter than that cheap debranded JNX one when fit into a cps2.

That said the JNX moves more air and would be better suited to inside a cab.
Bit loud for my consolized cps2.

I recently ordered a fan from JNX as well. It was as loud as stock. Replaced it with the Gelid Silent 6 and it's nice and quiet for a consolized set-up.

I have no interest in getting a refund/replacement @XianXi. Just wanted to pass along that I echo @syntax_X's sentiments.

Sorry guys, I need to update the description then. It’s intended for use in a cab. The CFM rate will make it seem loud because it’s the same flow rate as stock just without the annoying whine.

Of course for consolized use, you’d need something quieter since it’s out in the open. You could also add a resistor to slow it down if you prefer, maybe 150-200ohm.
 
I used this fan to replace on a US and an Asian board. On the US board it fit right in, on the Asian one it was tight as hell and I actually broke some plastic sticking it in, but it works fine. As for noise, it is fine for me sitting on a table next to me while I played it. It’s not silent but not loud enough to annoy me.

Yeah it was a tight fit on my A board but nothing broken. Just a nice tight squeeze.

I am disaponted... I order this and the plug is not good....does exixt a good fan for CPS2 with good plug? I will change it

I made a video I will upload at some stage, but this fan makes about the same noise as a laptop fan
