hi, i have a cps3 with a video component conversor and i tried to capture the video with Avermedia Game capture HD. It failed - the record light didn`t even light on, but with ps3 it was ok! Does someone know what capture card could take the image of cps3?

The component video converter you are using is only encoding the signal, it is NOT changing the timing... So its still spitting out a 15khz (sub 640x480) image.
I'm sure your capture card is designed to capture no less than 31khz (aka 480p).
My recommendation would be to use a real video converter (like a OSSC or xRGB Mini) to actually change the timing (from 15khz to 31khz).

PS3 works because it spits out 31khz (aka no less than 480p) via component.

hm, didnt understand. what you mean by ``timing``? If i buy those real video converters, it would delay the game?

Yes, the OSSC is about 1~2ms of lag added with processing.
The xRGB mini about 14~16ms of lag added with processing.

Currently, just about the only device that will accept your component 15khz is a CRT.
When using modern video capture software however, you need to be compliant with LCDs (31khz).
