What's new
Just got mine back today! Gotta solder the other end of the wire onto my motherboard (Mitsu, can I convince you to do a cheap/easy PDF? Much easier for me to just consult that rather than a Youtube video) and then figure out how to pull some FrancoB level passthru for the cart so I can button it all up and have it look nice-nice.

Just tried this and it works great, thanks so much for adding it :D

I had already added a two pin right angle JST NH connector for the audio contact so luckily I already had a pin connected to ground. Not quite-so-fortunately when the female housing (not pictured) was connected it was nearly blocking the 5v pad but I managed to get a wire on:

I had made a Sun ATX PSU 5v power adapter for updating the CPS2 multi so I made another adapter to fit that to the STV. The .100" dupont contacts were a really tight fit on the 8 pin header but I just managed to squeeze them all on. It's not ideal but they did all make contact with the pins and it flashed successfully first time.

I routed the reset wire through another dupont pin so it can be disassembled easily. I just used some kynar for that as it's not really carrying much current.

Fitted the internal 3 pin JST NH connector back up and soldered the reset wire to one of the spare case mounted NH header pins

Soldered the reset wire to pin 8 on IC 12 and then ran that to the JST NH connector on the case:

All done :

I'm using a DPDT power switch to turn the 5v/12v on/off when selecting the dips as I don't like to turn my monitor on/off unless needed. To be fair I could just use this instead of the autoreset mod but where's the fun in that? :D

Thanks again for providing the update and instructions darksoft, Mitsurugi-w and anyone else involved

That is some serious porn there. Impressive work by the way.

i have a stm32 f0 board. can i use that too? or do i need f4?

Would it not just have been easier to wire a switch into the power entering the Switcher?

Not really no. I use it in multiple Candy cabs and it would mean altering the stock power wiring which I would rather not do, not to mention I would have to modify each one rather than make a single adapter.
