What's new
I'm jealous of the idea of living in a no value-added-taxes country..
Most of the USA has State Sales tax and then in some cities there is another tax on top of that. Even still it's usually less than half of what most of you guys have without VAT.

Our tax is also listed as a separate charge from the item price so it's very easy to see how much tax you're paying.
We also have income tax and property tax.

I'm in New Hampshire personally, one of the few states without any sales tax... :D we do have pretty high property taxes though to make up for it.

You could also move to Alaska which actually pays it's residents! The state makes enough money through oil and mineral extraction that if you're a resident you get a check from the government every year.

When people mention helmet laws, I'm reminded of how I cracked a helmet in a accident. I'd be dead or a vegetable without one that day.

Wearing a helmet and being legally mandated to do so are two different things.

Laws that prevent me from doing things that harm other people:

Laws that prevent me from doing things that harm myself:

One major issue/dealbreaker however is preventing me from moving...
Marijuana is decriminalized, but not legal.
we're working on it... it has a lot of support from the citizens but there are a few stalwarts in key decision making positions that are roadblocking it.

the point of forcing you to wear a helmet, is to avoid that other people pays for your actions.

If you have an accident, other people will pay for your medical care.. And they will not be happy if they have to pay more just because someone choose not to wear a helmet.

fair point!

I mean personally I don't care about the helmet/seatbelt law one way or the other, at this point I think it's one of the weird quirks of NH and people are against changing that law out of pride/heritage more than anything else.

our state motto is "Live Free or Die" and people always use that law as an example of that attitude despite the fact that we're really not much more free here than any other state :D

So by this logic... If you smoke cigarettes and get lung cancer, you don't deserve treatment/transplants because the condition is self inflicted?

Nope sorry, I can do whatever the hell I please that's what it means to be truly free.
If you like freedom of choice then you have no business supporting socialistic healthcare.

actually you pay LOTS (!!!) of taxes for smoking cigarretes.. (you can imagine why)

but you dont pay any tax for not wearing a helmet :)

ps- we should continue in the offtopic forum by the way, or daddy DS will kick our ass :D

Not wearing a helmet is just plain stupid, darwin arward, then again, you are more likely to get killed anyways, with or without a helmet, luckily i got off with just a collarbone fracture.

Congrats to everyone involved on the incredible success of the pre-orders. I'm sure the momentum will continue to build as word continues to spread.

I've been an advocate for the DS multi since the beginning, but I'm afraid that I'll have to sit out for the time being. Money is tight and I'm thinking in reais now.

Update: Thanks to my incredible friends here at Arcade-Projects, I was able to pre-order a kit :D :D :D

I'm willing to chip in some dough to get you DS's MVS multi. I never donated to your F3 Multi, so here's a chance for me to give something back. So if you drop a gofundme link or something similar, I'll donate some monies. Or you can publish a cryptocurrency address, bitcoin, bitcoin cash or litecoin would do for me.
