What's new
just buy a simple coin battery holder and a cr2032. You can get them from amazon or ebay cheaply. Or go over to console5 and pick them up.

I just did one on a 4 slot tonight. Repurposed the battery holder from an old PC motherboard.

The battery on Neo motherboards is rechargeable - do not, I repeat: DO NOT install a non rechargeable CR2032 onto a Neo motherboard without first disabling the recharge circuit by removing the resistor next to the battery (there are pictures to point this out, I don't have one on my phone)

If you install a non rechargeable battery and leave the charging circuit active, it will heat up and explode and completely destroy your Neo board or worse if you're anywhere near it

You can get the rechargeable CR2032 batteries from specialist battery suppliers, Element14/Farnell, RS etc

Such as this:

Thanks for the replies.

I didn't know you could just use a standard one.

And yes, I would disable the recharging circuit.

:D
