can somebody try something for me,

get a game cartridge without the plastic shell,
and fit it, then fit a dimm module above it.

does the naomi boot?
does the game on the cartridge boot?

if it does, it could be an interesting way to flash dimm modules! :!:

I'm no Naomi pro... But I've never seen a game cart with a DIMM socket.
NetDIMMs and GDROM/CF DIMMs have DIMM sockets, but these are the only ones I've ever seen.
Not to mention the DIMM in a Net/GD/CF is volatile memory, IE write the game but cut the power/remove the DIMM and its blanked (aka DIMMs are written not flashed).

Please someone correct me if I'm off base here.

i meant the sega module, not the actual ram-stick.
:D

@stj, give it a try and let us know your results. I doubt you can break anything and most probably you're not the first one that thought about it
:)

I tried with my normal dimm, top board seems to take priority, at least it went straight to cf booting.
