What's new
Can you post a picture or two of your CPS2 with the kit installed?? Did you install the 4 wires for key rewriting? Which romset are you using the one that includes original untouched romsets or the one from team avalaunch?

I use the avalaunch pack and i don't install the 4 wires for key rewriting.
I will post pictures of the kit in few minut.
Thanks for your help.

as I said at the beginning of the post, there are 4 pins broken on the long PCB, I directly soldered wires to make contact.
And some pictures of screens when I restart the new astro city.

do all games in the microSD contain a file called key which content is full of FFFFFF ?

i use this pack: Avalaunch_CPS2_for_Darksoft_Multi_150531.
And there not have file called KEY in all games.

Well, in that case, that seems to be your problem.....

@SmokeMonster can we make sure that the romset from avalaunch contains the file key full of 0xFFFFFFFFF please?

@djam69007 download the file nobatery from here: New CPS2 Multigame Firmware with Key Writing!!!!!!

rename it to key and copy it in all the folders of 2-3 games and try to load them. They should work. If that's the case, copy that key file in ALL directories.

for the ROM 19XXDM,i just have 7 files name 19x.01/19x.02/19x.03/19x.05/19x.07/19x.09 and 19x.11.

@Darksoft I'm not sure what avalaunch set is being referred to, I'm just in charge of the CPS-2 Roll-Up lists. If it doesn't have key files though, it must be out of date and should be taken offline by whoever posted it.

Stop trying to use that broken set and use the official Roll-Up Pack. If you have the old firmware and didn't connect the wires, use the "old" set.

Wait wait wait. If you use the avalaunch set you do not need the key file. Just make sure the pcb is dead.

Looking at the recent pictures he is not getting a blank screen, it is scrambled. This leads me to a wrong jumper or bad PAL.

Did you buy the PAL with your kit? If so we have already gotten reports o blank chips being shipped.

I have an original PALF of the first B-Board I used, it can work with.
in any case thank you for your patience and your help.
for information I received the kit end of April, i think i have the new firmware.

I have disassembled the kit again, and tested the jumper which is ok.
I can use the PALF of the 1st B-board.
thank you for your reply.

Let us know if it works for you. Don't forget to lift the pin and connect to J17.

Hello,

So I tested with the PALF, same result.
I put up the 4 wires to use the new pack.
So I have a black screen when loading, and always a pink or green screen at the end of loading.
But on some ROMs, the coin counter is running.
When I remove the micro SD card and I restart the NEW ASTRO, I have the message no SD card on the LCD.
My B-board is a 93646B-4.
Ditto with the PALG since I put the 4 wires, but I have more often a white screen.
At least I know that my coin counter is working.

the SD card I received with the kit is a transcend 8GB.
The problem may come from this ??????????

I just bought an SD card sandisk, I did not find a 4GB, only a 16GB.
Since with the PALG, at the end of the loading i just have a white screen.
With the PALF at the end of the ROM loading i have a purple screen or a pink screen.
On the other hand, the coin counter no longer deliriums.
And I have no more graphic porridge.
