Hi guys,
I've got a CPS2 board here I've converted for someone (was Super SF2, revision 4, Asia region) - I've installed all the ROMs and a G PAL and I'm getting a suicide screen (single solid colour). Normally this would mean it's not running the game code or the keys are still loaded (in spite of it having the dead battery removed for 2 days) except that behind the solid colour it's playing the attract mode O_o
I've pulled all the ROMs, burnt a replacement G PAL to confirm that's not the fault, haven't tried shorting the capacitor again yet but that might be the next step. Other than that - any ideas?
Edit: Shorted the capacitor again and it's still playing blind. Bright green screen, otherwise playing perfectly. Wtf.

not moving around loose. When I flex the board I see some improvement
