What's new
Still building the romset / ironing out the bugs....
Seems some of the logic chips are not upto scratch.

Anyways progress update video with no keycus hardware:

Also the problematic keycus has arrived and problematic games have been identified.
Patched standard conversion sets for the Quiz setup coming soon ;)

First post updated with correctly patched Emereldia. Before was wrong!

Get the conversion roms while they are hot, i can't host full romsets for this hardware when the kit is "available"....

Prepare your bodys boyzz ... the bom with material needed will comes very soon !

And for those who think making a multikit from nothing is easy, or enjoy the hammy outtakes / comedy:
all i can say is it's very frustrating!
As someone said about my multis (no offense taken, cause that statement was true): "It's like automatic romswap".

Yes but along the way you need to:
1 ) understand the hardware (how many banks/busses, etc)
2 ) pinout the connectors
3 ) decrypt/patch games
4 ) concatenate data
5 ) reproduce/RE PALs (S16), security chips (S24) and sometimes custom chips (S18)
6 ) design/program some logic to handle all of that
7 ) route a PCB
8 ) test PCB
9 ) correct design
10 ) repeat 7/8/9 until 100% working

Anyway, great work @Hammy.

Exactly but there's more!
11: don't kill the motherboard
12: roms start to die after a few burns / erases
13: trying to understand your own work from 2 years ago with no documentation.

hehe

That's a killer. I write everything like if it was a novel, so I can take it over again after some time...
It would not be so bad but there's lots of brain fog about around here at the moment.
The main problem is rom order needed to be perfect or everything is screwed.... the simplest thing not written down.

To be honest it was good to go over everything again, got the chip count down a few for the final.

Next time will get some kind of notepad instead of scraps of paper and text files that get lost / deleted.

___ Hammy opens random text file:
3x8 sprite
3x8 tiles
2x16 oki

jp1
cut 1-2
join 3-2

Sounds good but WTF it for haha ;)

Maybe that's the main difference between you, the pro, and us, hobbyists.
At least for me, I'm terrible at taking notes, etc. And on top of that I have a bad memory...
:D

Sometimes I start redoing something only to realise I already completed it months/years ago. It always makes my day.
