Hey so I've been messing with psikyo conversions a bit. But the snag I hit on the PS3-V1 boardset seems to be the 93LC56 eeprom. I can't find any other reason that my Strikers 1945-II to Daraku Tenshi conversion has failed. When I boot in debug mode I can see a black screen with a red box (so something failed) quickly then a transition to blue gradient background that's used in test mode(flipped vertically for some reason), then black screen.
Has the security on these PCBs been cracked at all? It seems like the mame drivers load the security bin, but I'm not sure it's actually behaving correctly since I've tried swapping it and I was unable to reproduce what I'm getting on a real board.
Obviously the easy solution would be to program the bin from the mame romset, but there was a post by Guru saying that didn't work when they were doing their Dragon Blaze conversion. So before I waste more money or restore it back to Strikers, has anyone else attempted this?
