I have a Depinning multi-tool that's pretty much worthless to the point where for 90% of my depinning I use a paperclip or a tiny screwdriver.

Recently I needed to de-pin a 24-pin ATX connector and my paperclip was too thick for it, as was my worthless tool. I saw some suggestions online to use staples which took me about 5-minutes and 4 ruined staples before I got 1 pin out, looking on amazon the only de-pinning tools they sell have horrible reviews claiming they break.

So I'm looking for recommendations for good pin removal tools. stuff that's useful for Molex, and typical JST and TE Connectivity stuff.

Those stay in my work bag all the time. As far as extracting JST pins, I have a couple super tiny jewlwer scredrivers that I picked up somehwere, and they usually do the trick.

One thing to note on the "tube" style extractors....the set screw that holds it all together, will rattle loose over time...even in a bag. I don't use any adhesive to hold em in...i just make sure its tightened in, every time I use em.
