So basically I'm wondering if someone who was good with the ZN-1 board set could check out and remove the CAT702 requirements for it on the primal rage 2 board set. (basically editing the boot roms + the bios rom). Like I said in the previous Gnet thread my board came without the tw02 and two1 cat702 chips:. I know there are efforts to put the cat702 into a fpga, but it would be nice to actually test this thing.
Instead this board came with SC01 CAT702 chip on the main board which is the development chip (it's a sony chip). The good thing about this board is the 27c4001 on the daughter board in the back (allows you to debug the board via a computer connection, but I'm not too sure what kind of connection it's not a version of SCSI that I know) allows you to change the bios on the fly as the bios chip is not populated on the main board, but rather it's tied directly to that chip.
Here's Heaven's Gate booting with an Atlus bios/Atlus CAT702 chip on the main board (I socketed the chip)
