I have two different revisions of IGS PGM board - they both have had the original battery removed and CR2032 holder installed. One (I think maybe later version) saves NVRAM settings ok, but the other one doesn't (which seems to be the revision of board that has the features in this mod http://www.jamma-nation-x.com/jammax/tutorials.html?show=pgmbat )
Is there somewhere I should be checking for the +3 volts from the battery? (Apart from the actual holder - in case a trace has previously been corroded or something?)

Edit: possibly my issue is with the different board revisions. The earlier board revision is saving the time ok if I change it, just not the game settings for some reason.

Check the voltage at the backup SRAM when the pcb is OFF.

If there is not 3V on the VCC / Power pin... somthing is wrong.

If your stuck.. what rev PCB do you have?? i can make up a picture of were to probe the board / SRAM for voltage etc....
