 Well boys, the gig is up, I'm FINALLY gonna buy a cab.
I've settled on a crispy Neo Geo Goldie that I found through some friends.
I KNOW it's not an exotic Egret, or crazy $6,000 Vewlix but It'll be a good first cab for my space.
Plus that Japanese shit is impossible to find around Chicagoland so Goldie it is.

Doing some reading, I was assuming I can play most of my Jamma boards on the cabinet, but i keep reading something about frying sound If I plug in a pcb.
I see there's a required adapter from JNX for the Big Red, but I can't seem to find anything pertaining to a Goldie.

Has anybody had any experience with these cabinets?
Let me know, I'm scooping it up Saturday morning.

Thanks!

considering a goldie should be a multislot MVS boards, so it should be wired for MVS instead of Jamma.
So the JNX adapter will be perfect for that! :)

Thanks. I ordered one anyways.
It makes sense to me now that there would be extra buttons for things like game switching, and other MVS special features.
There’s not much out there on the Internet that certifies what is what since it’s an odd cab.
Needless to say I’m stoked.

the game select button is wired to Jamma button 5, no no issue there.
Also the service or test button is wired to a different pin.

Only real hurdle is the audio which is stereo for MVS and mono for Jamma, but that adapter takes perfect care for that.

Enjoy it mate
