Hi.
I have some capkits to make for my monitors, and some PCB.
What capaitor must I take ? Is there better brand ? Long life capacitors ?
Thank you.

I'm honestly not sure nowadays. A lot of component houses have bought out other brands and just kept the name. I still buy Nichicon and Panasonic. Panasonics are expensive but you know what you are getting. I tend to only buy caps rated at 105 degrees. They will last longer than the 85 degree caps. Especially if your pcb is housed in a cage or you are capping a PSU or Monitor.

You cant go wrong with Mitsu's suggestions. Nichicon and Panasonic caps at 105 are really the best that are affordable and for what you want to use them for. I have used these and some other boutique caps, along with some tubes when building my headphone amps.

Where can I get these caps? The crt on a konami cab that I bought is looking pretty dim.

Well the easiest thing to do is determine which monitor you have and just order a cap kit. It will even come wit a cap map of all the caps to replace.

Wanna bet that monitor is a K7000? ;)
