OK, so I have a 4 player Sunset Riders pcb that I converted to a 2 player version by burning and swapping 2 eproms at location 8e and 8g. The thing I can't figure out is that I did this for another guy on his 4 player pcb, same eproms I did for mine, but his does not work. Apparently once installed/initialized by holding TEST button down, etc., the player 1 and player 2 buttons become unresponsive. I don't get it. I even reburned them/sent them out incase something happened to the chip(s), but same result. When looking up the romset, there are like (4) 2 player version roms (ABD, EBC, EBD, UBC) taken from edgeemu.net- they are all 2 roms for 8e and 8g. I assumed this is other country versions? Anyway, what am I missing here?

I’d say have a go at doing two extra EPROMs - 10e and 10g
I bought a 2P to 4P, it was a four eprom swap, and it works nicely.
I believe the different versions allow for single or multi coin chute, and some versions require the start button to join, whereas other just require the shoot/jump button to join!
