I'm looking to replace the locks on my Astro City and New Versus City with something that doesn't require keys. All my cabs are set up for home use so I'd rather not have to find keys every time I need to get inside the machine. Curious if anyone else has done this and what they used.

Gaffers tape? I don’t really know any other option that wouldn’t require some type of key.

Here is what I do.

I keep all original locks except for the cash box (since that's usually unique or doesn't have an original lock anyway.) Then I move the service door lock to the cash box and then I install one of these on the service door: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Thumb-Turn...=item41d93b5190:g:iYcAAOSwCMtaZFZ-:rk:21:pf:0

then I hang the original cab key behind the service door.

this allows me to keep all original locks on my cabs and I can open them up without having to have the key on me.

This is what I was looking for. Thanks!

Hey Twisted, that url is broken..mind shooting me a link the thumb lock you used? I was hoping to do something like that on all my doors on my Astro, thanks.

Meant to update this thread. I tried the 7/8" version thumb lock and it's a perfect replacement for each of the door locks. I wanted to also use it for the control panel locks but the Sega lock tang is too wide to fit the thumb lock and it won't catch correctly when assembled. Haven't had any luck finding a version that does fit or a full thumb lock assembly with tangs that could replace the existing Sega lock. Curious if anyone has been successful in setting up a thumb lock replacement for the control panel.

Is there a longer one for the game door? This one fits on the change door.
