Hello, I'm stocking fresh TTL chips for repairs from Farnell and they have Texas Instruments (TI) brand. I have read some old TI TTL chips have thinny legs that tend to rust and I'd like to know if this happens with the currently available chips.
Are these old chips prone to shorting causing a major failure? does this happen with specific batches?
