As some of you know, i decided to make Aluminum cases For our precious PCB.
I hate seeing them piled up, unprotected or in bags.

I'd prefer have them proudly displayed when i don't need them.
Sure, boxes would be fine but i'd like to go a step forward in making a nice product. (but yeah...my case will definitely cost more then a box)

If i can get around 5 users or more to want one, i'll be able to start a small production. More is always better
When i'm ready i'll contact each of you. (price will drop a little if we can manage to get 6 or more !)

yeah , ill test it tonight with my own Astérix.
ill show more pictures later. i'm curious, if everything i did is fitting nicely.

only thing i wonder is if a PCB can be put on inserts or if it need some kind of small plastic protection.
like small plastic rings.

back at work we made lots of case for different companies but i never see them assembled.
if anyone can give me some help with that , that would be great

hmm... i dont think ill even reach 3 number on the price
i'm keeping watch on how much time it took and it should'Nt be to pricy

Haha i had lots of fun at making it. Probably you ll have a better design. Mine is far from perfect, but i guess ill get better with each new one ill be making.


If i end up owning one, you can be sure ill give it a try

Without paint and lexan, when board is in, it seem to go around 4.5lb

Maybe next time ill aim for a 0.081" thickness instead of 0.125". It could have been a bit more light... But its still ok

maybe i should have gone a bit more thin
but its not that heavy. i might have to consider this if i decide to make some for others.

but projects like that are veeeery fun to do
