FS WTH: iScan DVDO VP30

For Sale
Just be aware, I've never hear of anyone using a VP20 with the OSSC.
I was told VP30~VP50Pro, so I highly recommend you buy that 50 linked earlier.

Also you want the latest firmware installed, I have the install files/instructions (but again only for the VP30/50/50Pro).

Alright @PlayYing. I would like the VP50 when i do get the cash for it all. Cause i know nobody is doing payments here lol. So i need a little time to gather things for it. So i can acquire that for my setup.

Right, how I used it is Vp20 = 1080 ; vp50 + ossc = 4k
Why would you do that?

By using the iScan first you are doing all your initial scaling with the DVDO?
The OSSC is then scaling the output of the DVDO into 1600x1200 (which isn't really equal to 4k aka 2160p FYI).

You are sacrificing scaling quality just to have a final output of 1600x1200, what's the point then?

I've said it before and I'll say it again (because you guys just don't get it *Dr. Evil's voice*).

A iScan is ONLY used to adjust the sync rate. It should NEVER be used for ANYTHING but this (because it in fact sucks compared to the OSSC/xRGB mini)!
It adds lag, so it also should be viewed as a last resort not a goto solution.

@jassin000 which settings did you use with the VP50Pro?
Just picked one up for some other purposes today and might figure I give it a try paired with an OSSC and see if I can go higher than x2 on my projector ;)

just plug in the OSSC in a HDMI input and everything set to default/no scaling and output to 1080p60?

I have the VP30 (and I'm missing/without the fast deinterlace card).
I'll go thru my menu tonight when I get home and post screen shots for you... The damn menu has a metric ton of options, but I want to say I only define a few.
Like output screen type, input aspect ratio and unlock 60hz.

Thanks! Sure the menu is A LOT easier than my current Lumagen processor :D

Want to try that as well and see how much lag that one adds...

The color/contrast is better with the OSSC.
PC setting has a brighter look than video that cuts off the higher color ranges.
