I would be down for one if they were showing up in December or January like last year. Would make a nice Christmas present for myself. When you decide whats going on please let me know for sure as I am highly interested in a winter order.

Damn it, I would take one as well at that price for the winter delivery. Now just need to sell one of my C cabs.
 
Gah... great deal. I’ve got a fast io already but someone talk to me about where to get a psu and wiring. You guys just planning on contacting Yugo? DIY? Or is everyone just planning on stuffing a console in theirs?
 
Are any of these headed for SoCal? Also, they are all stock 1p cabs, correct? I'm still hunting for a 2p Vewlix, and at this point I'm probably just going to part out an L for better speakers, monitor, and a 2p panel unless I can get one of these at a good price.

You could get a sanwa jvs supply, better quality than the stock weiya. Its not the stock oem one, but if you dont care about keeping the cab stock with all oem parts, you would be all set. Probably the best way to go.
 
@Derick2k Sanwa jvs psu, cool... Then what, cobble together all the connectors from parts lists and manuals and DIY the wiring harness? Or is all that info assembled already? I’m clearly feeling lazy right now ;)

...I guess I’m assuming these are just shells. Maybe the wiring is in there, just no psu or io?

I think the wiring is all there for the jvs psu hook up, you just have replace/splice in connectors for the sanwa jvs psu. I think taito uses a standard/base wire harness for all their vewlix cabs. I think just mostly change at the control panels. So you should be good to go with stock harness if you just want to add jvs psu to the cab.

No, the cab is empty other than the base PSU that powers the cab electronics.
No IO, no PSU and no wire looms to connect these objects (it does come with the player-1 "J" harness inside the CP however).

You can get these items from Taito direct, but be ready... That damn JVS loom alone is like 100$ after fees and shipping.

I got one of my PSUs used from another member here, and I got the loom for it the same way.

Remember a ton of guys are buying these to hackup into MAME machines (rolls eyes) and they are a great source for cheap parts.
To them/from a MAME cab point of view its worthless, and they don't even know what this stuff sells for having never contacted Taito.

"I'll give you 50$ for that item you are throwing in the trash can" *when it actually costs 150$ from Taito* :whistling: :saint:

Thanks for the info Jassin, I'm really bad at keeping up on this info these days. Always finding other things to keep me going and never get to storing that stuff to memory.

It honestly sounds like I should go for the double order, so I'll be waiting to hear back from the distro about it. Still processing over 100 messages from the last few weeks, will respond to PMs here at some point en masse!

Ship me that cable. I’ll handmake a ton of them for 100% mark up of COGS. Should come out to be like $20 bucks.

Look I didn't make the prices

Confirmed these probably won't get in until Sept, so it's looking like I'll have to arrange and ship the container for November. Kinda makes things easier for me, I can just ship 2 containers instead of trying to prioritize @_@
 
Put me down for one please. At this price it's too good to pass up.

I assume there will be great demand for panels and wiring looms. (Did we confirm that it at least comes with the 1p panel?)


Could we arrange a group buy for the looms with @acblunden2 and/or @Lemony Vengeance and panel with @alberto1225 if the Viewlix panels are in production by then?
