Hey team, I have an extra copy in the US and Canada if anyone is interested in buying please PM me.

Best scenario would be that I just change the shipping on the preorder from my address to your address so it arrives on or close to launch date(depending on how good target US and ebgames.ca are at shipping).

I did something similar for the Switch which means whoever buys it can play at launch plus it saves the additional cost and carbon footprint for more shipping.

Feel free to DM me if interested, looking for $659 USD for the US one and $859 CAD for the Canadian console.

Would be open to trade for arcade games + cash (depending on the game) to hit the above value or other offers.

Games I don't have that I've been looking for, for trades, but open to others likely.

100% ebay feedback, have bought multiple things on the forum and many others in terms of feedback I'd be happy to get since I'd definitely like a deposit up front with full payment before the ship date/launch date. I can obviously provide pictures and or screenshots of the preorders to anyone interested.

Know a lot of folks missed out because they sort of sprung preorders on everyone unannounced or even before they said they would happen.

Canadian preorder sold for $919 on kijiji, US preorder sold at cost to a family friend.

I guess scalping isn't technically against the rules, but...

Good luck in this forum asking for an extra $277 on an item that hasn't been released yet that you specifically bought multiple to sell (instead of letting someone else get a pre-order).

I'd recommend eBay instead.

By the way, I should add, I've done this shit in the past (when I was younger and poorer and greedier and stupider), so I'm not saying I'm high and mighty or better than you in any way. I am saying, this forum doesn't roll like this, we're more friend oriented and you need to know your audience.

On eBay, you are more likely to get the bang for your buck.

I specifically bought it because preorders get cancelled all the time from best buy, walmart, etc and I didn't want to be without.

I get it, but for what I'm seeing them listed for this doesn't seem that crazy to me. Thanks for the recommendation, it's not like if I didn't preorder the people who completely missed it would have just magically gotten it but I get it.

Price policing is for sure listed but I know where you're coming from, wish they were free and everyone had them so I wouldn't want to make a bit on having one to pay for the extra controllers, games, system itself etc.
 
Also it looks like we've chatted before, it's not like you offered me a sweetheart deal on nightslashers in the event that was a cash sale...

I'm not looking for an argument, ebay or here I'm going to try to sell it and get what I think is not below what I can but also not crazy.

If I can avoid ebay fees and go with someone who can trust me to send it and I trust is a good buyer for it then I can have it shipped directly to their house like I said.

And I'm not price policing you, at most I'm scalper shaming you, but in reality I'm helping you get more money elsewhere with likely less drama.
 
Sorry I actually deleted the line where I mentioned I got an additional preorder in the event mine was cancelled. I get your feedback I do, if no one is interested I'll likely go to ebay.

Agree the forum is good vibes, I looked at the prices and tried to go lower than those to get them sold and off my hands sooner than later for someone who wants to play Demon's Souls and Spiderman at launch.

This is entirely the case. I feel like you've misread your audience here, because scalping isn't really helping a brother out, it's kinda taking advantage of another community member.

And it's a little.. idk. Disingenuous? to say you pre-ordered two in case one gets cancelled (reads even weirder now that you've edited it out), but you're selling one ahead of time? What happens when one (or both) get cancelled? You still end up without one (or even worse, your buyer does).

As a general statement to help others, and not related to your sale:

Pre-orders will open again on and off through launch. They always do. Anyone buying now over MSRP is driven by hype/FOMO. Best bet is follow cheapassgamer on twitter and turn on mobile alerts. Super easy to get pre-orders you want that way even when they're very limited.
 
For sure appreciate the forum so not looking for drama.

I just also don't think it's not out of control crazy to think someone on the forum might have missed out and will end up paying that or more or would want to trade for something or make an offer, etc etc.

I followed Wario64 on Twitter and would recommend. I didn't get a 3080 card today, but if I wanted one I'd likely have to pay above MSRP.

I'm hoping my other preorder would not get cancelled but that's a valid point about those. Buyer would get a specific preorder from a retailer if that wasn't canceled and mine was I'd be SOL. It's not like I'd take their preorder if they paid for it.
 
Canadian one is sold for $919. Friend has inquired about the US one but still unsold for now.
 
I wish the items couldn't be sold until they are in your hands. F this selling pre-orders. . . .

If it doesn't come or it got cancelled it would be a refund.

The first box of air sold for $60 above what I was offering here in a matter of minutes on the Canadian equivalent of craigslist. Having said that, I get it.

You can PREORDER 2 Dr Peppers and a big popcorn.

But I wont have the Dr Peppers in hand until November 12th.
 
Id prefer if I just change the delivery address to your home for the dr peppers and popcorn.

How about a new rule. Not sure how to word it (since we do basically sell things a preorder here... multis, cabs) but there’s probably a way to prevent marking-up goods like this.

Obviously 0 issue if that's decided to bring the post down.

There's a few different things I think

1) Price
I don't personally find a huge difference in someone listing a PS5 for more than retail the same way someone offers MK2 board for $500 it's more than I'd pay so I wouldn't respond to the thread or buy it.

2) Selling something that doesn't exist
If a darksoft cps1 kit obviously we're all happy for it and down
If a console or something else clearly might be an issue.
But, having said that, this is posted in the other video game goods. If someone posted a 3080 card that I didn't get and offered less than ebay for it I'd want to see it but that's just me.

I get it but at the same time I see stuff that I'm like hmm, that's more than I'd pay for that and I don't price police or say anything and move on.

Fine with whatever the judgement and hopefully no one is too offended as that's not the intention
