Usually this cart has the original label unglued or in any case not perfect.

A whole row of them and the fact that they come from China raises suspicion for me.
I mean. PGM stuff coming from China is the opposite of suspicious.
This is true. IGS is a Taiwanese company. I have half a dozen PGM games, (including Demon Front) and they all came from China and are all original.
Maybe @juyoujing can post photos of the PCBs to allay potential buyers’ fears?

There aren't fake Demon Front carts AFAIK. Unlike many PGM games, this game utilizes an ARM CPU coprocessor inside the cart that prevents it from being easily bootlegged.

I've never seen a fake Demon Front, so if they are indeed fake that IMO makes them even more valuable than an original because then we can learn how it was done .
but my guess is that they're all un-interesting originals

Most likely the labels have been restuck down, or repro labels have been put on.
Either way, they look pretty nice and if you're interested in buying one, drop the guy a PM perhaps he'll send you a photo of them if he's not actively checking this thread.

Apparently Demon Front doesn't call back into the ASIC-internal code after boot, so if you re-encrypt it for another cart and pass the header checks you could make bootlegs... So far I didn't have enough time for this, though.
The biggest issue is that the internal Asic rom hash checks whatever program rom is encrypted -- So for games that don't have an external Asic rom, the 68k rom is encrypted and is hash checked by the internal asic rom. For games with the external asic rom, only the external asic rom is checked. This is something I was looking into at one point. I was able to figure out the hash checking algos for a few of the games with dumped internal roms.
Not hard to replace another games sticker with a reproduction demon front sticker. I'd hate to think this is the case here.....
I still have a reproduction Project for "Demon Front" as you know.... I think thats as close as anyone has got so far....
