Taito F3 Multigame

I always had good experience with Italian sellers...

Once I won a Naomi2, after some days/weeks the package didn't come (tracing status was stuck somewhere).. I contacted the seller back, and I got another Naomi2 shipped.. no further questions asked.

Then I got a ST-V from another seller, it played fine but the motherboard-check in the settings menu was telling me that one of the roms was defective. I contacted the seller and I got another ST-V and didn't have to send the previous one back.

So far my worst experiences have been with german sellers..Germans are a pain in the ass. Once I got some non-working shit and when I contacted the seller, he insulted me back and threated to sue me if I said something negative to eBay. Of course I contacted eBay (LOL) and I got the money back from eBay and not from him. Another time I bought a new Synology NAS and instead of getting the model I ordered I got another (cheaper) model... he didn't answer to my questions, so I had to get the money from eBay again.

But well, to be fair I get most of my eBay stuff from Germany so my bad experiences in Germany must be a statistical thing :)

The damn shipping back to Italy was more than the original transaction. No way it was working when he sent it based on its condition.

Yes, had some issues too with getting something from Italy (shipping was fine, expensive as usual, the guy not).

But never had any problems with ThomasM though (also from Italy)

Peoples that screw peoples exist in all over the world. I was screwed from sellers in US and UK but I don't go around saying that all the sellers in that countries are like that.

P.s.
I'm saying that not because I'm a seller, I can only buy things but my heart brokers if I think to sell something.. I hate when people generalize with only a bad experience

Mixed bag in my experience from Italy. Ordered what was supposed to be my first NetDimm from an Italian eBay seller. Some issues with the payment, delays, and stuff. But when I finally got it, it came with a bonus that sort of paid for the whole darn thing. All chronicled here.

Guys, some sellers are good and some aren't. Let's not make of this thread an offence to the good ones...
 
Indeed. Saveyourgames is in Italy and my experience when purchasing a CPS2 multi was outstanding. If they will be stocking the eventual F3 multi I'll be buying it from them too :)

There's bad sellers everywhere, especially on eBay and unfortunately selling broken arcade hardware as working is a real issue, I've had it happen more than once but that's the risk you take

They will distribute Taito F3 :)
 
Well, the cool thing is I don't have to worry about it until I get the multi...

Does anything happen if you plug in a working F3 board without a cart in it? Is the test mode available?

The seller has a 100% ebay rating with over 500 transactions, so I'm hopeful that it will be as described.

Maybe Darksoft will send me a proto so I can test it...

BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THAT POTENTIOMENTER / WHEEL ON THE TAITO F3 MOBO. IT LOOKS LIKE VOLUME REGULATOR BUT IT'S ACTUAL A VOLTAGE REGULATOR. YOU CAN FRY YOUR PCB IF YOU START PLAYING WITH IT. IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, DON'T TOUCH IT.
 
This reminds me I should plug in my F3 and make sure it's all working properly, haven't actually done that since I got it.

That pot being a voltage adjustment seems like a very odd design decision
 
1) on screen
2) lcd
3) jumpers

Simply because i like the cps2 multi and the current progress of the neo multi darksoft is working on.. definitely want an st-v multi if it goes back to production since i missed my chance at getting it

You must use the most basicle principle in Computers. If it works....don't touch it.
