What's new
Does the Flashcat program the modules without the need for an adapter? If so, I might just get one of those…

No but Pablo's Namco s1 flashcat adapter works. There is a new faster flashcat that should work as well. If necessary we could make a flashcat adapter.

So for clarity.

The $350 for the multi doesn’t actually include any way to program it.

The only current way to program it is with Namco System 1 Multi programmer adapters.

There are adapters on their way for ProMan and Flashcat, but this will be an optional/additional cost above the $350?

What will the adapters cost?

Going to assume the bulk of people buying this won’t have the Namco System 1 Multi adapters on hand… or at least, I don’t.

Some of us do have the required adapter and programmer. So no reason to delay. 8)

Hey hey hey, why was I left off this list?!?! Please, add me, no rush as I don't have a programmer anyway...

Can I use a GQ-4x4 programer?

Also, I thought S18 only had 10 games, yet all 16 slots used. Can you post the game list?

The Namco System 1 Multi had the adapters included, but price was also higher ($475, and that was pre-covid... look at the price of flash today and cry).

Let's see what @Mitsurugi-w has to say about it but I'm hoping for them to be available as an option for let's say ~$30 each.

Correct it won't come with the adapter because not everyone will use it and no need to drive up cost for everyone.

Adapter cost will be around $15-$20. It's meant to be sold at cost, not profit, I order to get them out there for this and future multis.

However I am perfectly fine providing free adapters to a few people willing to program modules for others but still sell them cheaply to others who just want them for themselves.

Yes that's the device but please wait until we verify it works ok. Hopefully it does work and is faster than the old version as the Proman was twice as fast.

No. I don't believe that programmer is capable of programming these flash chips.

There are limited games released but we also include some controller hacked versions for some games.
