WTB Wanted: OSSC

Want To Buy
The 3rd batch just came in, and everyone who was on the waiting list from the last batch is about to get a second chance at buying one. So maybe you can find someone who was on the list and change their mind.

At this point in time, assuming the subscriber numbers are incremental there are over 1k people on the wait list.

That a great idea, thanks Niko. Anyone on the list that can get one and doesnt want one, let me know :D

List numbers 330 till 408 get their second chance this week, my number is something like 3400.
So a little over 1k people I would say :(

Yeah I'm following that project as well (and all the drama involved on what the definition of 'open source' means...)

The audio over HDMI is a nice feature, but I think most users with a decent retro setup use an external amp anyways, so the 3.5mm output jack on the original model is perfectly fine for 90% of the users ;)
I just get whichever one I can get my hands on first! (I don't really care for the audio part as I use the 3.5mm outputjack of my gscartsw)

If you have subscribed to the mailing list you have to go to the website and go to 'manage subscription'
If you check the website address now in in your web browser it shows a number somewhere at the end

I'm at 2137, and been on the wait list since Nov. 19th of last year. I'm hoping I'm in this 3rd batch.

Its a shame other people arnt pumping these out. There is obviously a very high demand.

I also recommend following via the Telegram app, just got this message this morning;

If your number is between 410 and 471 on the OSSC waiting list and you have NOT purchased a unit already, you should have had a second chance invite this morning. If not, get in touch.

Again, I’ll be sending out WAY more invites next week, so please excuse the trickle for now.

I'm 3011, but would def be interested in getting it sooner if someone was planning on passing on their opportunity to buy.

Any chance we can get the gerber files, etc... for the ossc??

We would be able to get our own production run of the ossc made. I would be down to get 3 units, even is the cost is slightly higher than what the OSSC is currently selling for due to a small run of boards.

Would love one, just for the VGA in, but will have to stick to my Framemeister for now. I have enough VGA capable CRT's at 27" or more around here, that my dreamcast and xbox360 have plenty of places to be played on.

It seems that they got 500 units for the last batch and they have some other for the DIY kits ;)

So i know of a electrical engineer, and retro enthusiest who is interested in assembling the DIY kits ( HDMI + Digital Audio ). He is currently making a small batch of 3, and if all goes well he might make more to sell. I'm told price would probably be around $300 a unit, but you get the HDMI version with digital audio ( opposed to DVI + analogue audio ), and you will probably get it much quicker than sitting on the wait list.

He is suppose to contact me soon, and when he does I'll get a better feel for what he wants to do. If all goes well, maybe we can get a nice size group buy going.
