[REQUEST] Replacement buttons for CPS2 A-Boards

Hey Folks,

I am looking for replacement buttons for CPS2 A-Boards, not sure if these can be 3D printed with success, materials used might have to change from PLA to something else maybe, since PLA tends to become brittle if I remember correctly. Unless someone has a source for replacement buttons as I have a few A boards that are fully functional, but are missing the buttons, caps.
 
I've found the age of the CPS2 has taken a toll on the flexibility of the plastic.

Mine center button cracked free from the body mold, I was able to superglue it back together...
I've tried to avoid touching it since. :P

I've printed a few with my printer. They point ugly as sin and need some slight modifications with a dremel but they can work well.
 
Thanks Mitsu, I will look into different materials and finishing options. Also, its small enough where maybe I can get them injection molded, I know a couple of guys that have those at home injection mold presses.
 
The problem with these is there is no flay surface on the model to begin the print so they require a ton of supports. These are definitely better suited for injection molding.
 
I've printed a couple of these in ABS plastic. They're a pain. I ended up taking the file into CAD and manually adding some support to help with printing. Also simplified the model a little since they had some open areas on the back of the button arms. Just so they could save $ on plastic when injection molding.
 
yeah, every one of these i've tried to print has come out terrible. I've had some ideas in my head for a re-design that will print well with an FDM printer but I don't own a CPS2 board to test it out.

it's a good candidate for PETG material too.
 
@twistedsymphony What? You don't own a cps2??

Ok peeps, we gotta get T a cps2 with multi as gift for all the help he offers, he is tremendous asset to the site just like a lot of other peeps on here, so why not.

I'm in for $100, anyone else wants to donate?
 
I'll gladly pay for one if someone has a good multi candidate A & B board they're looking to get rid of.
