Throwing rocks at Raz is pretty lame.
You can always use the original bios or make your own?!
Not really a question of reverse engineering, since the neo-sma asic used for bankswitching the P rom was documented a while ago by hpman.
Compared to the other 3 neo-sma games Garou never had a release on a different pcb (BK1), so you're stuck dealing with a 8MB P rom plus the neo-sma dump file...
Well it would take that all NOR flash lines to be routed through the CPLD in order to use boundary scan. And even so, reprogram a NOR flash that big through boundary scan it would take up to 90 hours.
That's amazing @ack where you took the neodiag bios after the disassembly.
@maki was kind enough to sell me one of his extra pcb's, looking forward to try it myself.
Oh, what I've meant is that in the source code of the Flashcat software you can check flashmemory.vb to see the whole NOR flash definitions and if yours aren't there you can add them.
For U2 you'd need the TSOP48 NAND adapter, their NOR one won't work. There are more adapters for the flashcat Mach/Xport here.
Also for the undetected NOR flash, you can use the source code for the flashcat software to add support yourself.
