It's been a couple years on this, but thanks for the helpful info! Just an FYI, in the case of MAME this particular dip switch is not in the game dip switch menu, instead it is under "Machine Configuration" section of the Tab menu. I was able to change it there and set it to Southeast Asia...
Hi, I have a Namco Exceleena 2 cab and the plastic latch that holds the control panel in place broke off a while back so the control panel comes loose while playing sometimes. I'm thinking to sell this cab and think it might deter a buyer too. Any suggestions for a replacement or alternative...
Thanks @misteraddons! Yes, flipping the CHAMMA switch did the trick, pressing SELECT now brings up the menu. Everything is working perfectly now and my Neo Geo dreams have become a reality!
Can't wait for the second Mistercade and DE-10 to arrive so I can hook up my Big Blue and get all that...
Thanks @Aurich, yes I'm using the same JNX Adapter in my MVS cab as well. I'll attach a photo so anyone else with an MVS and Mistercade can see how that looks set up.
Well, looks like it was a configuration issue. I just went through the SD card setup process again from scratch and this time it is working perfectly. I must have made a mistake somewhere the first time.
I do have one question for Neo Geo cabs. The SELECT button doesn't seem to be...
I tried the v hold and it did reduce the rolling but the screen is still garbled. I also tried plugging it into a Namco Exceleena candy cab here and I get the exact same issue. That Namco is pretty reliable and newer hardware so I think it's most likely an issue with the Mistercade, whether it...
I can't really see the screen to navigate to a core as it is, the screen is completed garbled. I could look into setting up a monitor with HDMI to launch from there I think. I'll give that a shot later today.
I had my hopes up on that one, because I also renamed it to mister.ini (Iowercase). But I went back and copied the 15khz over with the MiSTer.ini in mixed case and I'm still getting the same rolling :(.
I just set up the Mistercade and connected it to my Neo Geo MVS cab using the JNX adapter. When I turned it on the screen displays in a rolling pattern. I've been using an Arpicade on this cabinet through this same adapter and it's worked perfectly, so I don't think it's an issue outside of a...
I installed the new power supply so I'm pretty confident it has a good clean power source at this point. But I'm still getting those graphical glitches, and I can live with those. But now I'm also getting audio dropouts. They happen with every game and usually I can't get through the first...
So the issue was that there was something wrong with that SD card. When I put it into my computer it couldn't read it. I bought a new one and now it's working :).
I am still seeing those graphical glitches in this cart, but I'll install that new power supply when it arrives and let you know...
Ok, I can do those things and let you know.
I've also ordered a new power supply from twisted quarter, as it's not that expensive and if there is any issue with stability in the power contributing to the problem it should eliminate that as a possible cause of the issue.
Yes, I checked it and tried ranges from 5 to 5.2 on the prior cart. There are different issues here between the two carts, the first just had the graphical glitches while the second hangs at loading. Now I kind of wish I'd just kept the first because I could live with the glitches but can't...
I sent my MVS cart back in to Joe at High Score Saves and he sent me a replacement, to see if there was something wrong with the cart itself that was causing the minor graphical glitches. Unfortunately, the new cart does not load any games. It gets stuck after the boot selection menu at a...
