The Saturn ports are very finicky. Not due to this SuperGun, as I had another one from China before and a CMVS with Saturn ports. This one worked with my model 2 controllers, but not my model 1 and strangely worked with the 3D controller. When I had another one before, it only took the OEM ones...
Yea to future proof I will go the USB route with either his adapters or another solution. I think for this project, I might just hard wire the joysticks to DB15 since they will not move from the setup. Awesome work on getting us involved with Axun!
I just wanted to write my review on this amazing SuperGun! I came here looking for a good solution for my Naomi Setup. Given the fact that Naomi is JVS, this SuperGun hit all the right points. Gone is the need for the I/O or separate PSU, it’s all built in! You can use the controller ports at...
I asked this as well, here is what I got back, sounds like we are good to go:
“No fan required, very quiet, good heat dissipation -Axun
Axun builds quality products and choose great power supplies for this unit. -me“
PlayStation2Sigma? As in PlayStation 1 or 2 controllers to the Sigma input or USB? That would be cool if that is the case as I am using the Retroelectronik PSX2NEO and they are terrible and barely work! Is there a thread on it I can follow or is it something happening in China?
People have stock of them? The arcade paradise site has the version with the terminal blocks, I’d like to get a couple with the DB15 to USB, just had heard they were lost in shipment or something and never stocked them again?
How about a USB option and swap out the sigma? Those undammed DB15 to USB are so hard to get a hold of, be awesome to have them built in, just a thought! Excited for mine!
Makes sense. I’ll get back to tinkering here in the coming weeks and when I got time to consider my options, I’ll hit you back. Trying to think about going this route for about $50 USD vs a MiniGun for about $120 USD or even the new Axun for that $250 price point. So many options.
