Following up to my previous post, I tried the new cart from Aldo, and initially with the very first firmware, there were no graphical glitches like the flickering lines etc, but there were loads of instability/black screens/no loading n all that, but the games looked decent at least, proceeded...

So Aldo told me the PCB was faulty, and swapped it out. Looking forward to getting it back and to finally play with a working AES :)

Weird that not all games do it though.

Yeah I did, and the updates disappeared from the SD card etc, I'll have another look when I get my AES back, as i sent it off for a recap and RGB bypass. Is there no way you can give me anything that can just update the top file build?

Memory card brand and size?

Have them at the root of the SD card in 'games' folder, make sure your SD is formatted in fat32.

Are you using the Smokemonster roll up pack for the games?

I've now tested 4 PSU's in total, original, new one, PC Engine 9V 1.5a, and a Megadrive one which is 9V 3a. I've noticed that if I load up a game, say Real Bout Special or RB2 it'll be fine, but if I use a hotkey swap, and then go back to Real Bout, the lines appear, and if I power off and on...

Well for whatever reason it doesn't happen on all games, and they differ in severity too.
