Yea on the metal case you can just make a hole and use an extension for the output, you do have to be mindful of board placement. For example you cannot do the standard install on a cps2 metal case because it places the hdmi at the edge. In that case you would have to opt for a all wire install...
Yes for playing at the moment with the cutoff is not great but let's say you have a super gun or a cab and you stream this is ideal for ya. With the new firmware whenever it does drop then it's good for both playing on an ldc and streaming.
So it's not really a problem per say, if you have a good capture card you can fix it for your capture. On your monitor you can't but a new firmware is on the way anyways so just a matter of time before it's fixed.
all those headers are bought off the net pretty much every part needed for the adapter is on the github link I gave ya. https://github.com/marqs85/cps2_digiav/blob/cps1/pcb_cps1_adapter/doc/bom.xls
Download that bom and open it for all the parts and their models there.
Well if you already did one then you know the main board can be had at videogameperfection.com, as far as the adapter you have to buy all the stuff and have the board printed yourself. All the info is on this link on github

Guys hopefully my thread doesn't derail and gets deleted again. Had a friend's monitor acting weird and screen smear and sync issues. After opening and recapping I noticed tons of electrolytic leakage and as I was cleaning solder mask was coming off all over. There was also a few pads missing...
