@rtw thanks for the link. i just tested the whole thing. still it does not work... can the sd card slot on the cart be broken? at this point my confidince is high that the cart is ok...

ok. but shouldn't it at least reech a menu when there is no sd card present? the screen blinks for the first coin i insert after boot. any other coin inserted does not cause the system to do anything, nor does any button (except unibios keys).

windows 10. yes (clustersize 64KBytes). sdhc (samsung evo micosd sdhc I). yes (cart is inserted properly). original games work. MV1a unibios 3.1 (usa, arcade) problem (stuck at "please wait..." remains). from that screen i can access the bios menu (a,b,c,start). i never got to the game select menu.

i am stuck at the "please wait" screen. the folder structure is: sd:/games/menu/files from update |/games/3countb/files from one game to test |/update/menu/files from update after starting the cab i wait sufficiently long (>1min). afterwards the files are still in the folder and after...

i have no idea why i had a white screen this morning. i just came back from work, turned it on, and it works. it even booted the game i had flashed this morning. i changed nothing, didnt even touch it... anyhow, the important point is: it works! the fault was faintly connected jumpers...

intermediate report. not done with testing so please don't respond yet. did the checking for DIS-continuity. and @Darksoft made a point (thank you!). if you look at the photo ending with 35, you can see that jumpers 10 and 12 are shortened (i.e. connected)! sidenote1: the beeper did not beep...

didnt help me. i have three pal g and one pal f here. neither works, all have same result...

maybe it would be good to have a blacklist? as long as no one else tested capcom sports club (u) with abovementioned daughterbord i would like to add that one as prolematic regarding sound.

true, i also think it is the b board. it loads wrong sound files from the flashed game. thing is, it loaded the correct sounds before it died... back then, it held most of the eproms on a daughterboard (93646C-3). could that be a reason? that it has a different default configuration to load...

tested 2 kits on two a boards with 2 boards, so 8 tests alltogether. those with the one specific b board failed. i still don't get why... before the board died it was working correctly. the sound itself is good, it just loads the wrong files... do i require different jumper settings? a different...

finally found time to test. i tested three different pal g (two from the italian shop on atmel, one original from a dead board) on two different boards. all pal g work fine on one board and have the same sound issues on the other board. i tested the jumpers with a multimeter. what shall my next...

i have a similar/same problem. By now I have three kits and two boards, so enough possibilities to test ;-) (finally) symptoms: the game loads the wrong sounds. e.g. street fighter alpha 2 normally boots with the sound "this is street fighter alpha 3", in my case it says "congratulations...

@'@l_oliveira': i dont have a phoenix rom set so i haven't tried that one out. the games boot fine, just the sound is missing. so i guess we can rule the small pcb and link pcb out. @'acblunden2': done. sweden. i already opened a thread in the local forum arkadtorget...
