I removed the infinikey to see if infinikey interfering with potential pheonix code was the problem. same result as with the infinikey installed, dark blue screen. Should I change my plan of buying a new set of mask roms?

That is pretty odd, should I re-solder the EXC5 capacitor on somewhere else? I tried removing it and testing again earlier. I thought a pheonix couldn't use normal proms and needed to be replaced with eeproms, am I missing something there?
