In the core itself, if you go into the menu and select "reset player assignment" does that make any difference? Otherwise i'm not sure and maybe the mistercade is faulty. I certainly have a faulty one out of the few i own and its also an input related issue.

Are you sure that’s not a SDRAM or sdcard issue? The RAIZING cores push the SDRAM pretty hard. When I had issues with my SDRAM those were the cores that would crash on me the most.

Ah that explains it - with MiSTser you only map player 1. Player 2 gets picked up if the type of controller is the same (which is the case for mistercade).

I managed to get it working, i'm using the advanced method to lock the usb controllers to player 3 & 4 and the final piece of the puzzle is you need to map the controlls on the main menu core, not just in the games core for it to work properly. It's kind of cool being able to play 4 players on...
