yes, multi region doesn't mean it automatically chooses the region for it. you have to choose it with the dip switches. the bios might have a sticker on it that shows you what the switches are or you can google it to find the info.

Hello! Working on fixing up a Final Fight CPS1 board. Right now it turns on but only the white sprites/text appear. I can pick a character and the game will start but freeze on the first screen. I've tried pulling the EPROMs and writing new ones but have not had luck but I have a feeling that...

honestly i don't think it is. it is the cardboard box associated with the shottriggers port, not an original box. that was what i was intending to communicate with my phrasing. edit: not trying to police or anything like that, i've only seen a few pictures of that box and was curious about...

ah ok, specifics of the original purchase of the box aside it's good to know that the pcb fits. to be clear, the box does have the ShotTriggers logo on it so i don't think it's wrong to call it the shottriggers box, heh.

are you familiar with the PGM conversions of DOJ/Espgaluda/Ketsui? those are generally much cheaper and pretty available (you can find them on ali express as far as i know)

the 3D printable rails would be a much simpler mold to produce than a mold for the original cart shell. the original cart shells were likely injection molded, which is a hard thing to replicate at a small scale.
